LOOKING BACK: Giving Thanks

Gratitude is a key to happiness. Well, we like happiness, especially around the holidays, so here's to gratitude for 2007.

SonneBlauma is grateful for the opportunity we were given to perform at Center Stage Theatre, the Montecito School of Ballet, and at the Monterey Dance Festival.

We are grateful for the honor and privilege of serving our community via producing a master class series…a series made possible, in part, by Dianne Vapnek & Christiane Schlumberger. A great big hug and kiss on each cheek to all of the teachers that also helped make this master class series possible: Holly Johnston, Susan Gingrasso, Alice Condodina, Carol Ann Manzi, Stephanie Nugent, Gerry Marr, Christina Tague, and Megwynn White.

Sonneblauma is also grateful for the opportunity to serve our community by helping to produce some wonderful music events at the Music Academy of the West. Panzumo, Stephen Kelly, & Ray Tischer - thank you for sharing your magical musical gifts with our community.

and…we are grateful for the peace in our hearts, the sunshine in our souls, the bountiful spread we will enjoy at our tables with family and friends, and we are incredibly grateful for all of you. Without your support our life work would not be made manifest. Without our life work being made manifest our part in making this world a better place to be would not be fulfilled.

Gratitude being a key to happiness and wanting to bring you happiness, we ask you

“What are you grateful for?”

We'd love to know!

ON THE HORIZON: 2008 – Wahooooooo! It is going to be a wild ride.

We are just about to turn into a Thanksgiving pumpkin pie having promised to keep this short and candy apple sweet – so – here is the short of the shortest of it. We’ll be performing at Center Stage Theatre in January, in Santa Cruz and Los Angeles in April, Montecito School of Ballet in May, we will begin a film collaboration with Sinan Temizalp of 'Meditative Dance" in Istanbul, we’re planning a trip to Istanbul in September to teach and perform, and we’ll toss in a few master classes to boot. Is there anything else you’d like to have us put out there?

Joy!

We toast to the heavens with you & dance great joy into the ethers. Here’s to a splendid set of holidays. May they be joyous, playful, full of light, and we hope you get caught under the mistletoe again and again (giggle, giggle.)
