Hello SonneBlaumies,

Headed out to NYC on Tuesday. If you don't hear from me, I'm not ignoring you, I've just unplugged from the internet and into performance mode, museum hopping, and hanging out with friends. Y'all will be with me in spirit so hang on tight and expect an extra charge of loving & creative energy!

New Works was awesome.

I can't believe how fast it came and went. I worked SO hard on my solo and Anaya worked SO hard on the costume. The hard work payed off. We received some fabulous feedback, lots of warm hugs, ecstatic smiles, and enthusiastic accolades.

Huge grins!

Special thanks to our hard core local service agency the Santa Barbara Dance Alliance for making it happen & also a very special thanks to press for the fabulous preview articles written. Charles Donelon of the Independent and Steven Libowitz of the Montecito Journal & thanks to the great spread in the Casa! You can read Charles' article online but you'll have to pick up Steven's at your local newstand.

Reviews come out while I'm out of town (gulp.)

It was an honor to be on the program with such a stellar group of artists. Hugs, hugs, hugs.

For those who missed the show I'll have pics and a video up soon!

Here's the Scoop

Classes start up again when I get back from NYC. The first day of class is Tuesday February 9th.

Wohooo!!!

It has been awesome being alone in the space but I'm ready to welcome the community back into the space.

Sundays will be an intermediate/advanced class and Tuesday will be a mixed level class. Our present focus will be on generating new work so classes will include improvisation and choreographic games. In that I need to keep some repertory alive we'll also learn some repertory phrases.

Many people suggested I put a price tag on classes when I asked for feedback on SonneBlauma classes so we are starting to officially "charge" for class with an open heart - meaning if you are really hurting financially - you won't be turned away.

Talk to Misa and we'll make it work. Here is the schedule. Classes are held at the Montecito School of Ballet. 529 E. Gutierrez.

Sundays: 6:00 pm

Tuesdays: 7:00 pm

Please arrive early to stow your items, sign in, and complete a 2010 liability waiver.

Classes are $12 walk in. Buy 8 classes for $60. Checks should be made out to The Future Traditions Foundation.

Auditions are Sunday February 7th
Time: 6:00 pm
Place: Montecito School of Ballet, Santa Barbara

Please bring a cd with your bio and a selection of high resolution images of yourself dancing on the disc.

I'm looking for advanced movers not afraid of physical, spiritual, and emotional risk adept at improvisation, with strong performance skills, an eagerness to learn & a willingness to go somewhere new and live to spit about it.

If you want to come and just play by all means come and bless the space with your presence.
