BodySensate - ADaPT Fest Call for Artists

Call for dancers:
Matthew Nelson/ Bodysensate Contemporary Dance is looking for dancers interested in participating in a one week intensive choreographic workshop to generate a performance work based on the 12 principles of permaculture. Permaculture is a design philosophy for regenerative living that emulates natural patterns. Performed to live music composed by Jordan Nelson and played by violinist Clara Kim, "Two Mythological Birds" will be performed in the ADaPT Festival. Must be available for technical rehearsal Wednesday July 23rd, with performance on Friday July 26th at Center Stage Theater, and possibly Saturday July 27th at Center Stage and Sunday July 28th at ARC Pasadena.   Rehearsal scheduling will depend on the participants, and will begin on Thursday July 18th. Technical skill and experience are useful and appreciated, yet commitment to working as a collaborative and investigative team is the most important quality for participants to embody. Interested dancers should contact Matthew Nelson for more information by emailing him: The initial work in this series, Nelson's Permaculture Dance Project, may be seen at
